Finally

A beautiful day in Hong Kong. We were in charge of planning the Saturday activity for all the senior missionaries. Here we are visiting this wonderful  park in Kowloon.  It is called the Walled City. History has it that this area was once a city built solely of building connected to each other with only a few entrances.  It was like a fortress which protected the inhabitants from the crime that took place in the streets below. Everything was destroyed during the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong. The park was developed to commemorate the unique history of this area and it's people.

The picture of the two girls takes place at a branch activity at the beach. The younger girl is Shannon who is a member of our branch.  She is 8 years old and is a pen pal with our granddaughter, Eliza.  In the picture with her is a picture of our first visitor from America. She is Callie Kolb from St John, Washington. Callie is teaching English in mainland China and had to come to Hong Kong to renew her visa.  She and two of her friends stayed with us during their visit.  Callie has been the primary baby sitter for our grand children since she was old enough to baby sit.
